Additive Manufacturing

Our additive manufacturing process

Looking for an integrated laser cladding solution?

We offer three key additive manufacturing technologies which complement our precision machining capabilities:

  • L-DED High-speed cladding.
  • L-DED Conventional cladding.
  • PTA Plasma-Transfer Arc.

Additive manufacturing technology

EHLA
High-Speed Cladding (EHLA)
  • High-speed, precision coatings via a robotic system.
  • Replaces plating processes while being more environmentally friendly.
  • Great for shafts, spindles and hydraulic rams.
  • Thin sections can be clad with very low HAZ and dilution.

Working envelope: L6000 x D2000, 8T.

cladding
Conventional Cladding (Robotic System)
  • Thicker deposition.
  • Provides great performance benefits for high-value components.
  • Low HAZ and dilution.
  • Large range of powder materials available.

Working envelope: L6000 x D2000, 8T, L2000 x D2000, 15T.

Plasma-Transfered Arc Cladding (Robotic System)
  • Versatile AM technology providing an economical, high-quality solution.
  • Ideal for internal and external work or where thicker coatings are needed.
  • Lower HAZ than Wire Cladding, enabling higher quality results with more critical parts.
  • Robotic control with 6+2 axis control. Provides great flexibility of part capability and makes internal and external applications possible.
  • Large range of powder materials available.

Working envelope: D3000 x L2000, 3T.

Is laser cladding right for you?

Laser cladding is perfect for parts or components that require repair or need a particular performance enhancement.

Maintenance, repair and overhaul
Laser cladding is a universal process for repair work in any industry.
purple-icon-7
Increased resistance
Choose laser cladding where your parts need increased abrasion, corrosion and temperature resistance.
purple-icon-8
Eco-friendly alternative
Replaces chemical plating with a more environmentally-friendly process.
purple-icon-9
Perfect for Oil & Gas
Great for OEM recreation and MRO. Suitable for a range of upstream and downstream Oil & Gas parts.

We offer integrated processes

While others offer standalone services, our laser cladding is part of an integrated service for pre and post-machining.

Plus, our in-house lab is on hand to provide full metallurgical analysis capabilities for quality and process monitoring, and final inspection qualification.
